It is SO HARD to eat healthy during the holidays...so many parties & extra activities...and while all of these extras are fun, they tend to wreak havoc on our bodies...IF we LET them! The goal is to not let the holiday parties get the best of us! One way to help with this is to take a healthy dish to pass to a party...think of what YOU need to fit into your meal plan for the day (and what you will be eating the rest of the day) and then incorporate the foods you need into your dish to pass. Short on veggies? Take a big salad, fresh veggies and dip or even a veggie casserole. Need to incorporate fruit into your day? Try a fruit salad, or fresh fruit tray.
Remember that if YOU are having trouble eating healthy, chances are other are struggling as well, and they will also appreciate the healthy choice that you brought to the party...and if they don't, who cares? Remember that your focus in eating is to FUEL yourself the best you possibly can!
